Bible Craft for Peter's Escape from Prison

Materials:

1.  For the chains, heavy construction paper, gray paint, felt pen or crayon.

2.  For the angel, cardboard or heavy construction paper, pencil to draw in the face, color it as you like, as close to white as possible.

Instructions:

1.  Trace the chain onto the construction paper, make two chains.  Color them gray.

Tell the children that when Peter was put in prison, the disciples prayed all the time to God for him, and the night before Peter was to appear before Herod, he was sleeping tied with two chains between two soldiers.

2.  Cut the angel out; paste him onto cardboard or heavy construction paper, draw in the face, and color him as close to white as possible .

Tell the children how the angel of the Lord appeared, there was a light, and the angel woke Peter up.  Tell them how the chains fell off and the angel told Peter to get dressed. 

Tell them how Peter went to the house where the disciples were, and showed them that their prayers were answered, and then he went to another place.
