Bible Craft for Samson and Delilah

Materials:

1. for the razor, use a real razor; or construction paper, gray paint, felt pen or crayon.

2. for Samson, construction paper, pencil or pen to draw in his face, color you like for his hair (and beard and moustache if you want to draw them in too) flesh color felt pen or crayon for his skin.

Instructions:

tell the children how Samson fell in love with a woman named Delilah, and the Philistines came to Delilah and asked her to find out where Samson's great strength lay and they would pay her 1,100 pieces of silver.

1. Get a real razor or cut out the drawing and paste or trace it onto construction paper, color it gray..

tell them that Samson tricked Delilah three times by telling her wrong things that made him strong, but finally he told her that his strength was in his hair. Tell them how Delilah made Samson go to sleep on her lap and then she called for someone to cut off his hair (actually Samson was shaved - Judges 16:17)

2. cut out the drawing of Samson, paste it or trace it on construction paper, draw in his face and beard and moustache if you want to, color his hair as you like, color his skin flesh colored.

tell the children that Samson had the seven locks of his hair cut off and his strength left his body. Tell them that Samson was taken prisoner by the Philistines when he lost his strength.
