Bible Craft for Samson and his Victory
Materials:
1. For the wrist cuff and chain that were made of brass, pieces of gold construction paper
2. For the pillars; cardboard or construction paper, colors you like
Instructions:
1. Cut out the drawings for the wrist cuff and chain, trace them onto construction paper, make many copies of the circle. cut the circles and join them together and join one of them to the wrist cuff with glue or paste to hold the circles together.. you should have a length of chain.
Explain to the children that after Samson was shaved, and lost his strength, the Philistines made him blind, and put brass chains on him, and put him to work in the prison house. but tell them that Samson's hair began to grow again.
2. cut out the straight drawing of the pillar and paste it on cardboard or construction paper, color as you like.
tell the children that the people were gathered together to offer a sacrifice to their god Dagon and to rejoice because Samson their enemy was their prisoner. Tell them that the people sent for Samson to be brought and that he was tied between pillars and that Samson asked if he could lean upon the pillars.
3. cut out the bent drawing of the pillar and paste it on cardboard of construction paper, color as you like.
tell the children that there were 3,000 people there who made fun of Samson, and that Samson prayed to God and asked to be strengthened one more time so the Philistines could be avenged. tell them that Samson took hold of the two middle pillars and bowed until the pillars broke, and all the people were killed.
tell them that all the people in Samson's father's house came and took Samson and buried him.
