Colossians - Chapter 2-4
Welcome, I have written this for children, based solely on the Word of God, but condensed for them... and used Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary for clarification of some words. My added comments are in italics, and there is a Memory Verse for each chapter.
Chapter 2
I desire that all of you that I have not seen face to face be joined in love, and in case anyone tries to deceive you, I say as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him as you have been taught.
Be very careful of any man who tries to draw you into the things that men follow, and not after (the things of) Christ. For in him lives all the fulness of God bodily. And you are complete in him, who is the head of all... you are risen with him through faith and your sins are forgiven. Therefore, don't let any man judge you in what you eat, or what you drink, or with regard to days, which are a shadow of things to come.
Don't let any man deceive you from receiving your reward in the worshipping of angels, or by his entering into things which he has not seen, but has become proud of in his own mind.
Memory Verse: Colossians 2:10 "And you are complete in him who is the head of all......."

Chapter 3
Therefore if you are risen with Christ (because you have received the Lord Jesus as your Savior and are lifted up by faith out of this world and its temptations) seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. (that means to live your daily life as you are led by the Spirit, not giving in to the temptations around you to do things which lead you away from the things of the Lord.)
For you are dead (to constantly doing the things you know you should not do, or constantly not doing the things you know you should do) and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.
These are the things you should not do: anger, filthy words (swearing), speaking evil things about God, Do not lie to one another seeing that you have put away the things you used to do, and have become a new person, growing in knowledge of God that created you. There is neither Gentile nor Jew, bond nor free, Christ is all, and in all.
These are the ways that you should be as the elect of God (that means you are chosen and set apart by God): be holy (righteous in your heart) kind, humble, meek, (that means that you are gentle and not easily angered), being patient with one another, and forgiving one another; even as Christ has forgiven you, so also you forgive each other. Above all these things, be loving towards one another. Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, through which you are one body (in Christ all those who are saved are one) and be thankful.
Let the word of Christ give you wisdom (understanding in how to apply to your life the things that you have learned of God).. teach each other, sings hymns and songs with grace in your hearts to God. And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Children obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing to the Lord.
Whatever you do, do as if you are doing it for the Lord, and not for men, because you know that it is the Lord that will reward you because you are serving the Lord Christ.
The person who does wrong shall receive for the wrong things he has done.
Memory Verse: Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."

Colossians 4
Paul's words to Masters (those in Paul's time that had servants)
Give to your servants equally, knowing that you have a Master in heaven. continue in prayer and giving thanks. Pray for me that God would open a door to speak the mystery of Christ (that is Christ in believers, the hope of glory), because of which speaking, I am in prison.
Walk in wisdom to those who are not Christians. Always speak with grace but standing firm, so that you may know how you should answer every man.
The rest of the chapter is Paul's closing words to various people..
