Nut Clusters

Ingredients:

2 cups whole unblanched almonds
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp salt

Instructions:

In a 9 inch frypan, heat almonds, sugar and butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until golden brown, about 15 minutes.  Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.  Spread mixture on lightly buttered foil or a baking sheet.  Sprinkle with salt.  Cool completely and break into clusters.  Makes about 12.
