Craft/Activity for Tower of Babel

Materials:

Building blocks, as many as you need to build a high tower.

Instructions:

1. Explain to the children how the people decided to make bricks and build a tower that would reach to heaven (Gen 11:3-4)

2. Have them build a tower with the building blocks, making it as high as you can.

3. Explain how the LORD came down and saw the tower, and how he mixed up the language of the people so they couldn't understand each other.  Explain how this made them stop building the tower and the city, and how they were scattered upon the earth. (Gen 11:5-9)
