One day, the disciples wanted to know who among them would be the greatest in heaven, and Jesus took a child, and set him in the middle of them, and when he had taken him in his arms, he said to them "whoever receives one of these children in my name, receives me: and whoever receives me, receives not me, but he that sent me."
Another day little children were brought to the Lord Jesus, so that he could put his hands upon them, and pray for them, but his disciples tried to stop their parents from bringing them.
But when Jesus saw this, he was not pleased about it, and said to his disciples, "permit the little children to come to me, and do not stop them, because of such is the kingdom of God"..
And Jesus took the children up in his arms, and put his hands upon them, and blessed them, and then he went away.
Memory Verse: Mark 10:14 "permit the little children to come to me, and do not stop them: for of such is the kingdom of God."

2 because they tried to stop the children from coming to Jesus
